That's why reducing the cost of living is the foundation of everything else.

We can only build a stronger, more inclusive society, if people have the stability to build something better.

ENERGY

What policy would i introduce?

I support exploring a Baltimore County Community Choice Aggregation program that allows residents and businesses to pool purchasing power and negotiate energy supply together.

Instead of 500,000 people negotiating individually, the county negotiates as one customer.

How does that improve people's lives?

Lower utility costs mean:

  • more money staying in family budgets

  • more money going into savings

  • less financial stress

  • more stability

When families aren't worried about the electric bill, they can focus on building their lives instead of surviving month to month.

 

HEALTHCARE

What policy would i introduce?

Expand Direct Primary Care partnerships and pilot programs throughout Baltimore County.

Connect residents directly to physicians through transparent monthly pricing.

 

How does that improve people's lives?

  • easier access to care

  • fewer surprise bills

  • stronger doctor relationships

  • more preventative care

Healthcare should provide peace of mind.

Not anxiety.

 

EDUCATION

Baltimore County spends billions on education, yet many parents still feel disconnected from what's happening in their child's school.

Families and the public don't always know where the money is going

 

Why is it happening?

History shows that spending alone doesn't improve outcomes.

The best-performing school systems consistently:

  • measure results

  • identify problems

  • support teachers

  • replicate success

  • intervene when something isn't working

 

What policy would i introduce?

I support:

  • public school performance dashboards

  • outcome tracking

  • workforce pathways

  • apprenticeship partnerships

  • budget transparency

  • targeted intervention when schools fall behind

 

How does that improve people's lives?

Parents gain visibility.

Students gain pathways into careers.

Schools improve continuously instead of repeating the same mistakes.

And taxpayers know their money is producing results.

 

HOUSING

 

What policy would i introduce?

Use zoning and land-use authority to require:

  • infrastructure planning

  • transportation planning

  • school capacity planning

  • community engagement

before major development moves forward.

 

How does that improve people's lives?

More housing options.

Less congestion.

Better planning.

Communities that grow without losing the qualities that made people want to live there in the first place.

 

LOCAL AGRICULTURE

 

What policy would i introduce?

Expand county procurement and direct purchasing programs connecting farms to:

  • schools

  • public facilities

  • institutions

  • local buyers

 

How does that improve people's lives?

Farmers keep more revenue.

Families gain stronger local food systems.

More money stays in Baltimore County.

Food becomes more resilient and local.

 

PUBLIC SAFETY

Residents see the same problems happening over and over.

The same properties.

The same intersections.

The same trouble spots.

Why is it happening?

Agencies often work separately instead of together.

What policy would i introduce?

Require coordinated tracking between:

  • police

  • code enforcement

  • public works

  • schools

  • community organizations

and publicly report repeat hotspots.

How does that improve people's lives?

Problems get solved instead of repeatedly managed.

Communities become safer.

Residents see actual progress instead of temporary fixes.

Build Local Power

Communities Should Have More Influence Than Special Interests

Too often residents only find out about major decisions after they're already underway.

I want to reverse that.

Communities should have a voice before decisions are made.

Not after.

 

Protect the Urban-Rural Demarcation Line

The URDL has protected Baltimore County's farmland, watersheds, and rural communities for decades.

I support protecting it.

Once farmland is gone, it's gone.

Protecting the line protects our agricultural economy, our environmental resources, and the character of our rural communities.

 

Agriculture as a Core Economic Sector

Agriculture is not simply part of our history.

It is part of our future.

I support:

  • Stronger agricultural support services

  • Easier access to tax credits and preservation programs

  • Expanded farm-to-school and local procurement opportunities

  • Direct connections between farms and local buyers

  • Practical regulations developed with farmers at the table

  • Workforce pathways into agriculture and trades

Farmers should spend their time farming.

Not fighting bureaucracy.

 

Workforce Development

Not every student wants a desk job.

And not every successful career requires a four-year degree.

I support stronger partnerships between schools, farms, trades, workforce programs, and local employers.

Students should be able to see a pathway from education to a meaningful career right here in Baltimore County.

 

Organized Communities

I want to help residents organize around the issues affecting their lives.

Homeowners organizing around development.

Residents organizing around rising utility costs.

Communities organizing around infrastructure.

Neighbors organizing around quality of life.

Because one frustrated resident gets ignored.

Thousands of organized residents don't.

 

Make Government Accountable

 

Government Should Do What It Says It's Going To Do

The biggest complaint I hear isn't that government lacks ideas.

It's that government doesn't follow through.

Projects get announced.

Promises get made.

Deadlines get missed.

And residents are left wondering what happened.

I intend to use every tool available through the office to change that.

 

Performance Tracking and Transparency

I support:

  • Public performance dashboards

  • Public project tracking systems

  • Transparent timelines and milestones

  • Public reporting requirements

  • Department coordination requirements

If we're paying for something, we should be able to see whether it's working.

 

Education

I support:

  • Public outcome tracking

  • Resource transparency

  • Budget oversight tied to measurable results

  • Strong workforce and apprenticeship partnerships

If we're funding it, we should be able to measure it and improve it.

 

Public Safety

We already know what works.

The challenge is consistency.

I support:

  • Public tracking of repeat incidents and hotspots

  • Better coordination between police, schools, code enforcement, public works, and community organizations

  • Investments in prevention and stabilization

If the same problems keep happening in the same places, we shouldn't just treat the symptom.

We should address the cause.

 

Infrastructure

Infrastructure projects should not disappear into bureaucracy.

I support:

  • Public project tracking

  • Clear delivery schedules

  • Funding tied to measurable progress

  • Cross-department accountability before projects move forward

If something is promised, residents should be able to see its progress every step of the way.

 

The Difference

Most candidates talk about policy.

Policy matters.

But policy is only a tool.

The real goal is helping people build stable lives.

Because stable families build strong communities.

Strong communities create opportunity.

And opportunity creates a county where people feel hopeful about the future again.

That's what I'm fighting for.

Not just better government.

A better Baltimore County.
